COLE BEAMIN

FOUNDER / VIDEO COACH

Elite Ice Analytics was founded by Cole Beamin, a current ECHL defenseman with the South Carolina Stingrays and a former USPORTS, WHL and SJHL player with years of experience competing at a high level. Originally from Saskatchewan, Cole built his playing career through grit, adaptability, and a sharp on-ice IQ—qualities that now define his coaching style.

While climbing through junior and collegiate hockey to the pro level, Cole experienced firsthand how valuable video review could be. Not just for correcting mistakes, but for building awareness and confidence. He learned that while no player is perfect for 60 minutes, every game contains teachable moments—successes worth building on and details worth cleaning up.

For Cole, video coaching was transformative.
“It was like taking off the blindfold,” he says. “You think you’re making the right read, but the tape tells the truth. It forced me to take ownership of my habits—things I didn’t even know I was doing wrong until I saw it through a coach’s eyes.” That clarity is exactly what he brings to Elite Ice.

Cole’s goal is to make high-level coaching accessible to players at all stages of their development. Whether you’re grinding through minor hockey or playing post-secondary, the mission is the same: help you see the game more clearly, and elevate your play with purpose.

As Elite Ice Analytics grows, Cole’s vision is to build a national standard for video-first player development—rooted in accountability, confidence, and a real love for the game.

Brock mcleod

Vice President / VIDEO COACH

Brock McLeod is the Vice President of Elite Ice Analytics and a former professional hockey player whose path through junior, university, and pro hockey gives him a unique understanding of what it truly takes to develop at every level of the game.

Originally selected in the 4th round of the QMJHL Draft, Brock’s playing career brought him through some of the most competitive environments in Canadian hockey. He suited up for the Sherbrooke Phoenix, Charlottetown Islanders, and Halifax Mooseheads before continuing his career in U SPORTS. At York University, Brock captained the Lions and led the team in scoring, later joining the TMU Bold before advancing to the professional ranks in the SPHL. That journey — from junior draft pick to pro hockey — gave him firsthand experience with the challenges, adjustments, and details required to succeed as a player.

Throughout his career, Brock discovered that developing hockey IQ was just as important as anything done on the ice or in the gym. Video analysis became one of the most valuable tools in his development, allowing him to see the game through a coach’s perspective and better understand the habits, reads, and decisions that separate high-level players. More importantly, it gave him confidence — the ability to recognize both the strengths in his game and the areas that needed refinement.

“For me, video was one of the biggest advantages a player could have,” Brock says. “You start seeing details you’d never notice during a game. The more you understand why plays happen, the more confident and consistent you become.”

Now pursuing his MBA, Brock brings that same analytical mindset into player development through Elite Ice Analytics. His goal is to help players better understand the game, think it at a higher level, and develop the awareness needed to perform with confidence and purpose. As the company continues to grow, Brock is focused on building a development platform that combines elite-level experience with modern video analysis to help players maximize their potential both on and off the ice.
